Have you ever considered making money by sharing links?
You may be asking yourself, “Is it even possible?” To be perfectly honest, yes.
You can earn money by sharing links in a few different ways. Here are the five approaches you can try if you’re curious about what they are.
1. Shorten URL & Earn Money
The first way to make money by sharing links is to shorten them. Long links frequently appear clustered and unappealing when sharing any page or content on social media or email.
To address this issue, link shorteners were developed, which not only shorten links but also allow you to track marketing campaigns and other incoming traffic.
Some link shortening websites also let you monetize your shortened links. This means that if someone clicks on it, they will have to watch a short ad for about 5 seconds before they can either skip it or it will disappear on their own.
As far as I know, you can earn $7 per 1,000 views from a US audience and $2 to $4 per 1,000 views from Asian countries.
Here are some sites that help you make money by posting links.
2. Make Money By Sharing CPA Offer Links
CPA stands for Cost per action, which means that the publisher is paid every time a visitor clicks on the CPA offer link and completes an action. It can be either signing up, filling a form, making a purchase, or completing a survey.
To get started, simply join a CPA program and start promoting their product using the unique link. There are many CPA programs available that you can join right off the bat. Here are a few of my recommendations.
Before you decide to promote CPA offers, you should know who you’re going after. If you have a Facebook page with a good number of followers, a blog, or a YouTube channel, you can analyze your audience to see what niche they are interested in.
Based on their interest, you can accordingly share CPA offer links with them that have a higher chance to convert. Overall, with CPA offers, you can definitely get paid for links.
3. Share Your Patreon Account Link
Patreon is a membership platform that allows artists and creators to easily get paid.
If you’re an artist who freely shares content on social media or YouTube, you can use this platform to get paid for it.
But, before you join them, make sure you have a strong fanbase that is willing to pay for access to your content. If you have this type of fan base, joining Patreon is a good way to supplement your income by providing exclusive content and early access to new work.
To get started, simply create a free account and fill out your profile details. Then, create your membership tiers and set the price. You have the option of charging per creation, monthly, or upfront membership fees.
Once you’ve completed all of the steps, simply copy your Patreon link and paste it into your social media pages, blog, or YouTube channel. People who enjoy your content will surely join it to support you.
Just be careful not to set the rate too high as this can result in fewer subscriptions.
4. Make Money By Sharing Affiliate Links
Affiliate marketing is a popular way to make money online. If you’re unfamiliar with it, it’s simply a marketing method in which you promote another company’s product or service in exchange for a commission on the sales you generate.
To promote the product, you will be provided with an affiliate link that includes your affiliate ID. When someone clicks on your link and purchases the suggested product, you’ll get a few percent commission (10%-50%) of the sale.
Currently, the majority of the products have an affiliate program. So, if you want to promote a product you like, you can certainly find their affiliate program on their website.
Another way to join different programs is to register with Affiliate Networks. These networks connect both the publishers and merchants, allowing them to collaborate with each other.
Here are a few popular networks that allow you to make money by sharing links.
Based on your interest, join a network and apply for products that you like to promote. After you’ve been accepted, copy the affiliate link and start sharing it on social media, blogs, and YouTube videos.
This method works best if you have a well-trafficked blog or YouTube channel.
5. Sell Your Own Products
If you enjoy creating your own products, you can earn money by listing & selling them on various online platforms. Here are a few sites that help you to share links and earn money.
Teespring’s platform allows you to earn money by designing and selling T-shirts. They are completely free to join, and you can keep 100% of the profit after the default base price.
As a member, you don’t have to worry about collecting money, printing, or shipping because they handle everything.
They also offer a YouTube integration option, which allows you to display your merchandise directly on your channel.
You can also try Amazon’s FBA program to sell both physical and digital products.
With this program, you can store your products in Amazon’s fulfillment centers, where they will handle all of the picking, packing, shipping, and customer service.
To increase your chances of getting a sale, copy your product link and share it on social media sites, or even run ads. This way it will be easier for you to attract visitors to your product page.
Teachable, Udemy Or Skillshare
All three sites are popular for paying you to sell online courses. If you enjoy teaching others a skill, creating and selling an online course is another way to get paid for sharing links.
All you need to do is create an online course and upload it to these websites. Then, share the link to your course with anyone who is interested in learning it. You will earn money if they click the link and purchase your course.
Create Your Own Online Store
If you don’t want to use a third-party site, you can set up your own online store to list and sell various products.
You can use Shopify for this, which allows you to create your own store. You can join them for free, but it is only a trial period after which you must pay for their subscription. But don’t worry, they don’t charge a high fee, so it’s reasonably priced.
Once you’ve created your store and listed all of the products, you can share your store link and get paid every time someone buys from it.
Aside from the method of shortening links, the rest methods do not directly pay for sharing links.
However, you will not be able to make much money with these methods unless you promote them by sharing their links. So indirectly, they’re qualified for this method.
